This commitment didn’t start with the voucher program. RideTHISbike started over 20 years ago in the aftermath of Katrina, when we saw firsthand how vulnerable our community is when gas or transit gets cut off.
We believed then, and still believe today, that a bicycle is more than recreation. It’s real transportation, and an essential backup when everyday options fall through.
E-bikes make everyday transportation practical for even more people. While an e-bike relies on a motor and a battery, if that battery runs low, you still have pedals. You can’t say that about a car or a scooter. That’s why we’re so focused on finding e-bikes that ordinary New Orleanians can afford, depend on, and keep riding for years.

Value Packages and Crescent City vouchers
We are still finalizing package bikes, gear, and prices. When packages are announced, we will identify the new e-bike packages we expect to meet the current voucher requirements. Final eligibility is controlled by the City and its program administrator.
If selected, you may apply a $600 general or $1,200 income-qualified voucher toward an eligible package at our French Quarter store, 223 Dauphine Street. Applicable sales tax remains your responsibility. You can compare current potential qualifying bikes now and use the form above to be notified when packages are ready.
To apply for the City voucher, complete the required Smart E-Bike Course and use the official registration portal linked from the City program page.
