Did You Know?
RideTHISbike has been selling e-bikes in New Orleans since 2010. From the beginning, we made a deliberate decision not to chase the cheapest bikes available. Instead, we've focused on models that emphasize safety, durability, serviceability, and long-term value.
Over the years, that has meant saying "no" to many e-bikes that did not meet our standards, even when they were inexpensive or popular online.
As safety standards matured and the City of New Orleans developed its E-Bike Rebate Program, we found that nearly all of the new e-bikes we had already chosen to carry aligned with the program's emphasis on certified, serviceable, long-lasting transportation. Most of our models are certified to UL 2849, while a small number of European models comply with the comparable EN 15194 standard.
Our inventory wasn't built around the rebate. The rebate happened to reward the same qualities we had been looking for all along.
We believe the best e-bike isn't simply the one that costs the least today. It's the one that's still carrying you to work, the grocery store, or the park years from now.

Not sure where to begin? Start with the bikes our customers choose most often. Velotric Fold 1 Plus is a smart choice for easier storage, transport, and flexibility. Velotric Breeze is a favorite for comfortable everyday riding. For parents carrying kids, the Aventon Abound line is a consistent favorite, with the Abound SR working well for one child and the Abound LR being the better fit for carrying two. If you want three wheels instead of two, the Lectric Trike is the clear local favorite for stability, value, and easier storage thanks to its folding design. If you want a full-size step-through with the ride advantages of a mid-drive motor, the Velotric Discover M is one of the strongest bikes to test ride before making a final decision.
Blaupunkt folding e-bikes are also worth a look, especially for RV owners, boaters, and riders who value portability. Blaupunkt now has U.S. production in Asheville, North Carolina, and the 2026 model is 2 pounds lighter than before, making it even easier to fold, lift, store, and transport. The updated model also brings upgraded electrical components and a more service-friendly design, including sealed connectors and quicker access to key service points, reducing maintenance headaches over time.
Several of our most popular models also include built-in visibility features such as headlights, taillights, brake lights, and turn signals, depending on the model.
